There\u2019s also a 30 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon, along with the risk of a thunderstorm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/weather.gc.ca\/en\/location\/index.html?coords=43.655,-79.383\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/weather.gc.ca\/en\/location\/index.html?coords=43.655,-79.383\">According to the national weather agency<\/a>, showers are expected to become more widespread overnight Saturday, with the risk of a thunderstorm continuing into the evening before rain sets in after midnight. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sunday is shaping up to be the wettest day of the long weekend, with periods of rain, a risk of afternoon thunderstorms and rainfall amounts between 15 to 25 millimetres. Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 24 C, with northeast winds increasing to 20 km\/h and gusting up to 40 km\/h in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cShowers intensify late evening and continue in waves overnight.
