Slipknot guitarist Jim Root shared a cryptic note to fans after his bandmate Sid Wilson was reportedly fired from the legendary heavy metal group<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t believe everything you read,\u201d he wrote via his Instagram Stories on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThink. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile (sic). Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there\u2019s more information.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root (seen here) posted a cryptic message after Sid Wilson was reportedly fired from the band. WireImage<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t believe everything you read,\u201d the musician wrote on his Instagram Stories. jamesroot\/Instagram<\/p>\n

Root, 54, didn\u2019t provide additional context, and he wasn\u2019t immediately available to Page Six for comment.<\/p>\n

Wilson, 49, was allegedly fired from the band after spending the past 30 years as a DJ and keyboardist, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, the musician received the notification on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Neither Wilson nor the group has yet to discuss the rumors publicly.<\/p>\n

Wilson first joined Slipknot as the ninth member in 1998, one year before the release of their self-titled debut album.<\/p>\n

For 28 years, he took charge of the keyboards, turntables and sound effects while performing under the stage name \u201c#0.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilson reportedly parted ways with the band four months after he and his now ex-fianc\u00e9e, Kelly Osbourne, called off their engagement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

News broke in March that the exes quietly parted ways after they were last seen together at the 2026 Grammy Awards the month prior.<\/p>\n

Throughout the past year, the \u201cFashion Police\u201d alum has notably been mourning her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who tragically died from a heart attack in July 2025<\/a> at the age of 76.<\/p>\n

\u201cKelly has been struggling following the loss of her father,\u201d\u00a0an insider told the Daily Mail at the time. \u201cThe grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she\u2019s been doing everything she can to cope.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Kelly and Wilson had also been \u201cfacing challenges in their relationship for some time\u201d and \u201cthings were not as they appeared,\u201d the source shared.<\/p>\n
