A pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Peel Regional Police said the collision happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Bovaird Drive East, just east of Highway 410.<\/p>\n

Police say the vehicle remained at the scene following the collision.<\/p>\n

The pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. An update on their condition is not yet available.<\/p>\n

Police have not released additional information about the victim, including their age, whether they were male or female, or their place of residence.<\/p>\n

The eastbound lanes of Bovaird Drive East were closed for several hours while investigations took place and motorists were urged to use alternate routes.<\/p>\n

The roadway reopened around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

In a separate incident later Saturday night, a three-vehicle collision<\/a> at Queen Street East and Torbram Road left one vehicle overturned. Police reported minor injuries, and the intersection was temporarily closed before reopening. <\/p>\n
