Big Brother Naija Season 11 has unveiled Aikou and Flora as the first recipients of the season\u2019s \u201cThe Gambit<\/a>\u201d twist, guaranteeing them places in the house until the grand finale but ruling them out of the race for the \u20a6160 million grand prize.\n<\/p>\n

The announcement was made during Sunday\u2019s live show after viewers voted to determine one male and one female housemate to assume the special role.\n<\/p>\n

Flora emerged as the female Gambit after polling 29.38 per cent of the votes, while Aikou secured the male Gambit position with 9.10 per cent. Ricky finished with 7.30 per cent of the votes, while Abi polled 6.07 per cent.

With their selection, Aikou and Flora are now guaranteed to remain in the competition until the end of the season. However, they will no longer be eligible to win the show\u2019s record-breaking \u20a6160 million grand prize.<\/p>\n

Announcing the outcome on X, the organisers wrote, \u201cVoters have chosen The Gambit. Aikou and Flora are safe until the finale, but there\u2019s one catch\u2026 they are no longer in the running for the \u20a6160 million grand prize.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

The organisers also teased the next phase of the twist, asking viewers, \u201cWhat\u2019s your first assignment for The Gambit this week?\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Aikou, 25,\u00a0 is a freelance teacher and web developer from Abuja. Described as calm, strong and outspoken, the self-confessed bookworm says he is comfortable in his own company. He is also single and ready to fall in love again, while admitting he has little tolerance for dishonesty.<\/p>\n

Flora from Delta State is a makeup entrepreneur known for her love of fashion and confidence. She describes her love life as \u201ccomplicated\u201d and says her honesty and bold personality are enough to keep fellow housemates on their toes.\n<\/p>\n

Ahead of the announcement, Biggie had explained that the gameplay, known as \u201cThe Gambit,\u201d would grant the selected housemates longevity in the competition but at a high cost.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThis gameplay is called The Gambit. Should you be selected, you will be gifted longevity in the Big Brother house, guaranteeing you a place in the game until the end of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, it comes with one important condition. You will not be competing for the grand prize. You will, however, remain a fully-fledged housemate, and all the rules of the game still apply to you,\u201d Biggie said.\n<\/p>\n

The selection followed a public vote, with Head of House Chimsom Chuka<\/a> excluded from the voting process.\n<\/p>\n
