CAMBRIDGE, Mass. \u2013 The Harvard Women’s Tennis program recently welcomed Yang Lee as the team’s second assistant coach, Traci Green<\/a>, the Shelia Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard Women’s Tennis, announced today.\u00a0Lee joins the Crimson following a standout tenure as Interim Head Coach at Saint\u00a0Leo University, where she guided both the men’s and women’s teams to national prominence during the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

Under her\u00a0leadership, Saint\u00a0Leo’s men’s team reached a No. 2 national\u00a0ranking, earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Final\u00a0Four, and finished as runner-up at the ITA Indoor National Championship. On the women’s side,\u00a0Lee\u00a0led the team to a No. 15 national\u00a0ranking with wins over multiple top 15 opponents.<\/p>\n

Originally from Taiwan,\u00a0Lee brings a wealth of international\u00a0recruiting experience and a dynamic coaching style rooted in player development. A former Division I student-athlete and team captain at Washington State University, she has earned a reputation for her work ethic, competitive edge, and ability to elevate student-athletes on and off the court.<\/p>\n

“We’re excited to welcome Yang to the Harvard Women’s Tennis coaching staff,” said Green.\u00a0 “Her international\u00a0experience, proven coaching success, and passion for player development make her a fantastic addition to our program. She brings great energy and perspective that will\u00a0complement and elevate the strong foundation we’ve built.”<\/p>\n

Lee joins a program with a strong culture and tradition of excellence, and she\u00a0looks forward to building on that foundation as the Crimson prepare for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

In addition to\u00a0Lee’s hiring, Head Coach\u00a0Traci\u00a0Green\u00a0has announced the promotion of RJ Nagel<\/a> to Associate Head Coach of Harvard Women’s Tennis. Nagel, who joined the Crimson coaching staff in summer 2024, has quickly become a key part of the program’s continued success.<\/p>\n

“RJ has done a terrific job with our student-athletes, both on and off the court,” said\u00a0Green.\u00a0 “He is a true partner whose dedication,\u00a0leadership, and consistency have been instrumental\u00a0to our growth. I’m happy to elevate him into this role and continue building together!”
