One of my duties is reviewing applications for apartments, which \u2013 as both a prospective neighbour and a retirement economist \u2013 has been a revelation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">It turns out, based on not only my limited sample but also more rigorous and representative surveys, a surprising number of people have no idea what they are doing when it comes to their finances. It\u2019s not just the young folks\u00a0with their online retail addictions.
