\n Minnie Driver<\/a> says she is \u201cin shock\u201d and \u201cgrateful to be alive\u201d after spraining her neck in a \u201creally bad car accident.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Appearing in an Instagram video Thursday lying down in a neck brace, the actress, who had previously been posting videos in Paris, said, \u201cParis update is that I am actually back in London.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cI got into a really bad car accident a few days ago with my friend Ben,\u201d the 56-year-old went on to add. \u201cAnd we somehow walked out of it. Well, we didn\u2019t walk out of it. We crawled out of it. But we did get out of it alive.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n The \u201cEmily in Paris\u201d<\/a> actress added that it was \u201cnot our fault. We were driving on a country road in the middle of France and a car didn\u2019t stop at an intersection and was going at speed and we just T-boned it.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cI\u2019m fine,\u201d she continued, reassuring her fans. \u201cI\u2019ve got a sprained neck, and I\u2019m really in shock and sort of cry all the time, but I\u2019m going to heal.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Driver said that \u201cthe reason I am not dead honestly is the car that we were driving.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n She credited a \u201clittle, tiny Kia EV2\u201d and its \u201ckind of 360-degree airbags\u201d as \u201cwhat saved our lives,\u201d adding: \u201cThe fact that the entire car didn\u2019t just concertina (crumple) and crush us is down to the design of that car, which is frankly astonishing.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cI am so grateful to be alive,\u201d Driver said, before going on to thank the South Korean car maker. While she said in the video that she\u2019s \u201ca mini driver, pun intended,\u201d she joked in an Instagram story that \u201ceven though I wasn\u2019t driving, I\u2019m still changing my name to Kia Driver.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n In the caption of the video, Driver also gave a shout-out to \u201cthe van driver who stopped and helped us before the ambulances arrived,\u201d as well as a special mention \u201cto the car who slowed down took in the scene and drove off without stopping. I guess this is the Dao of the world, the light and the dark.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cMy brain keeps replaying the crash which is very hard but seems to be a necessary part of processing,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWeeping too, feels good and helpful.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cOh my goodness!\u201d pop legend Annie Lennox<\/a> commented under the post. \u201cI\u2019m so sorry this happened Minnie\u2026 Sending you much love and wishing you a thorough and speedy recovery!!!\u201d She signed off the message with a mix of classic red heart emojis and mending heart emojis.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cGlad you\u2019re ok.
