Although it showed well, the buyers\u2019 market meant a lower sale price than the property deserved, says listing agent Patricia Houlihan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe buyer did very well,\u201d she said. \u201cHowever, the sellers also did well, as [a comparable] home down from them at 542 Dollarton Highway sold eight months earlier for only $20,000 more, despite the market declining on a monthly basis since that sale.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think their attention to detail in making their home and lot spectacular helped us significantly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The agent\u2019s take<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was an amazingly well-done home that had fabulous ocean views \u2026 all located in a five-minute walk from both beach and Cates Park, across the street from Dollarton Centre shops and restaurants,\u201d said Ms. Houlihan.<\/p>\n

\u201cFortunately, the sellers realized that, despite how amazing their home is, it is only worth what buyers will pay in a particular market.\u201d<\/p>\n
