But the 34-year-old is eyeing a basketball comeback next year.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s surprising is the fact that Freedom is not coming back to the NBA; instead, he has declared for the 2027 WNBA Draft.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/GettyImages-1445665919-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Enes Kanter Freedom attends the Algemeiner 50th Anniversary J100 Gala at The Ziegfeld Ballroom.\" class=\"wp-image-2602822\" \/>Photo by Jared Siskin\/Patrick McMullan via Getty ImagesAndrew Bogut wishes Enes Kanter Freedom \u2018good luck\u2019 in WNBA transition<\/p>\n<p>Freedom has made the decision amid the WNBA\u2019s indecisiveness about whether to keep transgender athletes out of the league or not.<\/p>\n<p>He now identifies as a woman and wants to show his talents in the W next year.
