A Brampton man has been charged following an incident at the Vaughan amusement park.<\/p>\n

A 19-year-old Brampton man has been charged after York Regional Police say a youth was allegedly sexually assaulted while boarding a ride at Canada\u2019s Wonderland in Vaughan.<\/p>\n

Police say the incident happened on May 25, 2026, when the youth was visiting the amusement park with friends.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the youth was boarding a ride when she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a ride operator who was conducting safety checks.<\/p>\n

Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit arrested and charged Jugaad Dhami, 19, of Brampton, on Wednesday, Aug. 5.<\/p>\n

Dhami faces one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.<\/p>\n

Police have released an image of Dhami as part of their investigation and are asking anyone who may have information relevant to the case to come forward.<\/p>\n

York Regional Police are also encouraging anyone who believes they may have been the victim of a sexual assault to report the incident.<\/p>\n

Police note there is no statute of limitations for sexual offences, meaning charges can be laid well after the date of an alleged offence.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is asked to contact the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7071.<\/p>\n

Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or through its website.<\/p>\n

Dhami\u2019s charges have not been tested in court.<\/p>\n
