SHAH ALAM: The Selangor state government plans to develop an integrated application, or \u2018super app\u2019, that brings\u00a0together the services and complaint channels of the state’s 12 local authorities (PBT), State Local Government and Tourism Committee chairman Datuk Ng Suee Lim said.<\/p>\n
Ng said the initiative aims to speed up and simplify public dealings by providing access to various PBT services through a single platform.<\/p>\n
“I take note of the proposal. Recently, we have also received feedback from customers who said there are too many applications. Sometimes, they are confused about which application to use.<\/p>\n
“I am confident that the approach we adopt can be continuously improved,\u201d he said in response to a supplementary question from Muhammad Hilman Idham (PN-Gombak Setia) on whether the state government planned to establish an integrated complaints platform at the state assembly sitting today (Aug 10).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ng said data security and confidentiality would also be prioritised to ensure users’ details were not disclosed or misused, with regular monitoring to be carried out.<\/p>\n
He said vendors involved in developing and operating the application would also be vetted to ensure only capable providers with good track records were selected.<\/p>\n
