{"id":853557,"date":"2026-08-11T00:48:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T00:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/853557\/"},"modified":"2026-08-11T00:48:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T00:48:09","slug":"brampton-suspect-arrested-in-mississauga-stabbing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/853557\/","title":{"rendered":"Brampton suspect arrested in Mississauga stabbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police have charged a Brampton man with aggravated assault after a victim was stabbed in Mississauga.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened on Aug. 1 at a commercial unit in the area of Dixie Road and Aimco Boulevard in Mississauga, Peel Regional Police say.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/man-wanted-after-stabbing-in-mississauga-leaves-victim-seriously-injured\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">One adult male was stabbed and rushed to a local trauma centre<\/a> in serious but stable condition and is expected to recover, police say.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators identified the suspect as Gregory Darling, 32, of Brampton and urged him to turn himself in.<\/p>\n<p>Police now say Darling was arrested on Aug. 2 and has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.<\/p>\n<p>Peel police say the accused was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this incident can contact Peel Regional Police by calling 905-453-3311.
