According to the official results, Mossfield finished eighth and last among the competitors who received a placing.

And somehow, the story gets even stranger.

According to Mossfield, he left the venue after prejudging to go drinking. He then lost track of time and missed the finals.

Peter Mossfield Finishes Eighth in Bodybuilding Debut

Generation Iron previously covered Mossfield’s unusual bodybuilding experiment as it began gaining attention online.

His premise was simple, if extremely controversial: see how much muscle he could build using anabolic steroids without lifting weights.

Alcohol was another major part of the experiment.

Mossfield claimed that during portions of the challenge, he was consuming as many as 24 alcoholic drinks per day. During his cutting phase, he switched from beer to vodka and diet soda in an effort to reduce calories while getting leaner.

Earlier in the experiment, Mossfield said he originally intended to work out while drinking. He ultimately decided he did not want to train and instead began using steroids.

Despite the backlash and obvious health concerns surrounding the stunt, Mossfield continued his prep and ultimately stepped onstage.

The official Men’s Classic Physique Open Class B results were:

Gavin Connelly

Ahmed Eid

Fedor Zhurov

Enrique Bonilla

Joshua Nabbie

Diego Da Silva

Joseph Mauceri

Peter Mossfield

That officially put Mossfield eighth and last among the placed competitors in his class.

Mossfield Says He Went Drinking and Missed Finals

Mossfield apparently thought his physique deserved considerably better.

“In my mind, it was me or one other guy had the best package out there,” Mossfield said in his post-show video.

After prejudging, however, there were several hours before the evening finals.

Mossfield says he used that time to drink.

He claimed his alcohol tolerance had fallen because he had been drinking less during the final weeks of his bodybuilding prep. According to Mossfield, he had averaged fewer than 12 drinks per day over the previous four weeks.

“I kinda lost track of time,” he admitted.

By the time he realized what had happened, Mossfield says he had missed the finals and individual posing portion of the competition.

He also suggested that failing to shave may have hurt his placing.

“I didn’t expect to get disqualified that hard or docked that hard for it,” Mossfield said.

Whatever impact those factors may have had, the official results remained the same: eighth place in his bodybuilding debut.

Now He Says He Is Off Steroids and Plans to Start Lifting

The original experiment may be finished, but Mossfield apparently has no plans to stop challenging himself.

His next move is almost the exact opposite of what made him viral in the first place.

Mossfield says he stopped taking steroids following the competition and now intends to begin lifting weights without using anabolic steroids.

“I’m a born again natural,” Mossfield joked.

His goal is to determine whether he can maintain the muscle he gained while using PEDs by finally introducing resistance training.

“I’m excited to start lifting as a natty,” Mossfield said.

He wants to see if he can “sustain the gains I made from blasting gear and not lifting” by now lifting without using gear.

The break from PEDs may not be permanent.

Mossfield said he wants to give his body time to reset. He specifically mentioned wanting to see if he can sleep normally and whether his sexual function returns to normal before potentially using PEDs again for future challenges.

MMA, Baseball and a “Cigarette Marathon” Could Be Next

Those future plans are just as unconventional.

Mossfield says he wants to begin MMA training. But he has little interest in developing the endurance required for a prolonged fight.

Instead, he wants to train enough to be able to “knock someone out in the first round.”

He also wants to return to baseball.

Mossfield says he previously pitched before suffering a shoulder injury. He now plans to rehab the shoulder and eventually use PEDs in an attempt to throw a 90-mph fastball.

His goal is to try out for a professional baseball team, although not an MLB organization, in the spring of 2027.

Other proposed challenges include what he called a “cigarette marathon” and a year-long push-up progression. The latter would involve adding one pound to his back each day until eventually performing a push-up with roughly 365 pounds.

Whether all of those experiments actually happen remains to be seen.

But Mossfield has now followed through on the challenge that originally made him viral.

He drank heavily. He took steroids. He says he avoided lifting weights. Then he stepped onto a bodybuilding stage and finished eighth in his class.

Now, after completing an entire bodybuilding prep without training, Mossfield says he is finally going to start working out.

Image embed via Instagram @mossfielddiaries

Man Who Drank Heavily and Took Steroids Without Working Out Went Out Boozin’, Missed Bodybuilding Final Peter Mossfield…

[37
426,49,48,407,4969,84
post-853705","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-fitness","tag-bodybuilding","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-fitness","tag-gi-news","tag-health
["GET
