Police are investigating an early-morning shooting in downtown Cloverdale.<\/p>\n
In a press release, the Surrey Police Service (SPS) said shots were fired at 3:52 a.m. on Aug. 12 outside a residence near the intersection of 60th Avenue and 177th Street.<\/p>\n
It seems to be the block near Elements Casino, as there is no \u201c177th Street\u201d in the area. The streets run: 176A, 177B, 179th along 60th Avenue from west to east.<\/p>\n
Sergeant Ali Gailus, SPS media relations officer, revealed \u201ctwo people were shot at,\u201d and that one man \u201csustained a non-life-threatening injury\u201d in the shooting.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspects fled the scene,\u201d Gailus added. \u201cUpon arrival, police located an adult male victim with an injury that did not require medical intervention.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gailus noted the SPS Major Crime Section is now running the investigation and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services will be in the area processing physical and digital evidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe investigation is in its early stages however it is believed to be targeted and not extortion related.\u201d<\/p>\n
