\n\tIndia\u2019s Panorama Studios<\/a>, the producer behind the Bollywood \u201cDrishyam<\/a>\u201d franchise, has invested in Indian original stories vertical platform Rocket Reels<\/a>, fueling the platform\u2019s next phase of growth and global expansion.<\/p>\n

\n\tPanorama Studios is chaired by veteran film producer Kumar Mangat Pathak and led by filmmaker and managing director Abhishek Pathak. The studio has built a slate that includes \u201cOmkara,\u201d \u201cSpecial 26,\u201d \u201cPyaar Ka Punchnama,\u201d \u201cRaid,\u201d \u201cShaitaan\u201d and the \u201cDrishyam\u201d franchise, earning more than 50 awards. Abhishek Pathak directed \u201cDrishyam 2\u201d and is directing and producing \u201cDrishyam 3,\u201d due in theaters Oct. 2.<\/p>\n

\n\tPanorama Studios\u2019 backing is expected to deepen Rocket Reels\u2019 slate of programming, bolster its tech infrastructure and speed up output of new original series. The deal comes as vertical storytelling gains traction as one of digital entertainment\u2019s fastest-growing formats.<\/p>\n

\n\tFounded by Kranti Shanbhag, Rocket Reels was among the first movers in India\u2019s vertical streaming category, building a catalog that ranges across thrillers, romance, crime, mystery, sci-fi, horror and comedy. The platform is built for viewers on mobile devices, packaging its stories into brief, emotionally charged episodes.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe platform offers stories in six Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati. It has also expanded beyond India and is now available in 10 countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, the U.A.E., Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal and South Africa.<\/p>\n
