She was 18.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">The Australian golfer had just turned pro in November 2025 after a strong amateur career, and earned status on the WPGA Tour of Australasia for the 2026 season. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">Bang died suddenly Thursday after suffering a brain hemorrhage in Thailand, where she was preparing for the KLPGA Tour\u2019s international qualifying event, <a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=109350X1567044&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.espn.com%2Fgolf%2Fstory%2F_%2Fid%2F49606113%2Fgolfer-jessica-bang-dies-18-had-collapsed-ahead-event&amp;sref=&amp;xcust=nFRE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according to reports.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">\u201cJessica was an outstanding young talent who made a significant impression in her short time on the Tour,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Db_3vgZSub2\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a statement from the tour reads in part<\/a>. \u201cThe thoughts and prayers of everyone at the WPGA Tour of Australasia and the broader Australian golf community are with Jessica\u2019s family, friends and all those who knew and loved her at this incredibly difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">Bang earned her first professional victory in February, winning the Ford Women\u2019s NSW Open Regional Qualifying Event at Moss Vale in just her fifth professional start.
