Chelsea are reportedly in talks with fellow Premier League side Bournemouth over a potential exit for defender Axel Disasi.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth<\/a> have reportedly started talks with Chelsea<\/a> over a move for defender Axel Disasi<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Frenchman has failed to establish himself in the Chelsea first-team since he completed a \u00a338.5m move from Monaco in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After falling down the pecking order, Disasi was sent on loan to Aston Villa for the second half of last season, making 10 competitive appearances during his brief stint with Unai Emery<\/a>‘s side.<\/p>\n

Disasi is now back at Stamford Bridge, but he is one of a number of players that Enzo Maresca<\/a> is looking to move on before the summer transfer deadline.<\/p>\n

Chelsea in talks over Disasi exit<\/p>\n

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri<\/a>, Bournemouth are willing to offer Disasi a way out of Stamford Bridge before the market shuts on September 1.<\/p>\n

The update claims that Bournemouth are in talks with Chelsea over a loan move with an option to buy at the end of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Cherries have also opened discussions with the player’s camp, as they look to convince Disasi to make the move to the south coast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ben Jacobs<\/a> is reporting that Chelsea would rather offload Disasi in a permanent deal, although they are currently discussing ‘different formulas’ with Bournemouth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Why are Bournemouth looking to sign Disasi?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bournemouth have lost two key centre-backs this summer, having sold Dean Huijsen<\/a> to Real Madrid and Illia Zabarnyi<\/a> to Paris Saint-Germain respectively.<\/p>\n

They recently confirmed the addition of Bafode Diakite<\/a> after reaching an agreement with Lille<\/a> to sign the central defender for an initial \u00a330.3m, plus a further \u00a34.3m in add-ons.<\/p>\n

However, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola<\/a> is still looking to add another centre-back to his squad before the end of the transfer window.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Iraola may believe that he is the man to get Disasi’s career back on track following a difficult time at Chelsea, where he has ultimately struggled to produce the sort of form he showed at Monaco.\u00a0<\/p>\n
