Caitlin Clark

Starting off with one of the more obvious choices, Clark’s status as a Hall of Famer will most likely be a lock if she continues to perform the way she has since becoming the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2024.

Moreover, the Indiana Fever star has completely revolutionized the sport since her inception in the league, with more eyes on the product than ever before.

Clark’s ceiling is one of the highest we have witnessed in recent memory, and just as she broke unimaginable records in the NCAA, her HOF induction might also be a given in a few years’ time.

14. Sabrina Ionescu

Another player with a historic collegiate career at Oregon, Ionescu has increasingly growing chances of becoming a Hall of Fame inductee, backed by multiple All-Star selections, an Olympic gold medal, and, of course, helping the New York Liberty win its first WNBA championship in 2024.

Ionescu has also redefined the shooting ranges of a WNBA player, and her expanding global popularity only makes her Hall of Fame case stronger.

13. Arike Ogunbowale

The trend of legendary collegiate careers continues with Ogunbowale, who was a delight to watch during her time with Notre Dame. She has followed that with a high-scoring WNBA career with the Dallas Wings and continues to be their top player at 29.

Add her multiple All-Star selections and consistently climbing up the statistical charts, Ogunbowale is on the right trajectory to secure the status of a Hall of Famer.

12. Jewell Loyd

The three-time WNBA champion has a near-certain, first-ballot Hall of Fame chance, and it has been a long time coming. With a resume that includes a scoring title, extensive All-Star selections, and high-level international success with USA Basketball, Loyd has done more than enough to secure this honor.

        11. Kelsey Plum

If not for Clark, Plum would still have been the NCAA’s All-Time Scoring Leader, which just goes to show how immense her impact has been on her teams from the very start.

The back-to-back WNBA champion with the Las Vegas Aces is still going strong at the age of 31 and was recently traded to the Phoenix Mercury. With multiple All-Star selections and a glorious legacy with Team USA, Plum is on course to receive another big honor in her name.

10. Jonquel Jones

As we move up the list, the chances of these players receiving the Hall of Fame are nearly a lock. Jonquel Jones has won almost everything there is to win in the WNBA.

Her historic trophy case includes a WNBA MVP (2021), a WNBA Championship and Finals MVP (2024), a Commissioner’s Cup MVP (2023), and an All-Star Game MVP (2026), making her the first player in league history to sweep all four major MVP awards.

9. Napheesa Collier

The Minnesota Lynx star has been one of the top players in the league in the past few years, with back-to-back runner-up finishes for the MVP award.

The UConn graduate under Geno Auriemma also has honors which include multiple All-WNBA selections, an Olympic gold medal with Team USA, and a WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

8. Jackie Young

Young was one of the first players to secure a million-dollar contract under the new CBA, which just goes to show her importance on a Las Vegas Aces team that has already won three championships in the last four years.

Her resume is already legendary with multi-time All-Star selections, and Olympic gold medals anchor an impressive resume that improves with each prime season.

7. Kelsey Mitchell

The Indiana Fever star is having possibly the best season of her career and has completely transformed the team’s backcourt alongside Clark.

Her growing trajectory towards the Hall of Fame is backed by elite, multi-year WNBA scoring numbers, a 5,000-point career milestone, All-WNBA First Team honors, and multiple All-Star appearances.

6. Alyssa Thomas

The Engine has more or less secured a future Hall of Fame career as the WNBA’s all-time leader in regular-season and postseason triple-doubles, a multi-time All-Star, All-WNBA, and All-Defensive selection.

All that is left to accomplish is the WNBA title itself, but Thomas will most likely be in contention for the honor even without it.

5. Chelsea Gray

From here on, every player has virtually secured a Hall of Fame induction if they retired today itself, starting with the Point Gawd herself, Chelsea Gray.

The three-time WNBA champion’s legendary resume features a Finals MVP award, extensive All-Star selections, and high placement on the all-time assist list.

4. Nneka Ogwumike

Ogwumike has been a 100% lock for the Hall of Fame for a while now, securing immortality after winning the WNBA championship and the MVP award in 2016 as the leader of the Los Angeles Sparks.

Her resume also includes multiple All-Star appearances and a spot in the WNBA’s top tier for all-time scoring and rebounding. First ballot.

3. Brittney Griner

Griner has completed the sport, and in some fashion. From a collegiate legend with Baylor University to one of the WNBA’s most prolific shot-blockers of all time, sitting high up on the career leaderboards for both blocks and field goals made.

Internationally, Griner won multiple Olympic gold medals with Team USA and has already been included in the Texas Sports Hall of Fame class of 2025.

2. Breanna Stewart

Stewart is going straight to the Hall of Fame the moment she will be eligibile. Another UConn graduate who has nothing left to prove, her career is filled with accolades even before she stepped foot in the WNBA.

Stewart’s collegiate record is unmatched, winning four straight NCAA titles and four Final Four Most Outstanding Player awards at UConn. From there, she has dominated the WNBA as a three-time champion and two-time MVP, along with multiple Olympic gold medals and EuroLeague titles overseas.

1. A’ja Wilson

We all knew where this list was heading. Wilson is a record four (!) time MVP winner and is on course to win her fifth one this season. She is widely regarded as the greatest player of her generation, and every single statistic affirms that thought.

Her resume already surpasses many all-time greats, featuring multiple Finals MVPs, Defensive Player of the Year awards, two Olympic gold medals, and an undeniable collegiate career with South Carolina.

All of this, and it is safe to say that Wilson still has a lot more left in the tank. One of one.

15.
