British media reported the transfer fee was 24.5 million euros ($28 million), making him the most expensive Israeli signing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m happy to be here, I\u2019m excited, and I can\u2019t wait to start,\u201d said Khalaili.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve followed the Premier League \u2013- it\u2019s a new challenge for me \u2013- and I\u2019ve followed Crystal Palace for a long time. Marotta said: \u201cItaly has very strict legislation protecting players\u2019 health, with decisions made by an independent body rather than the club\u2019s medical staff.
