GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics has announced the winners of its 18th Dorian TV Awards, and Heated Rivalry<\/a> and Hacks<\/a> topped the pack.<\/p>\n

Heated Rivalry, HBO Max’s hockey romance that turned into one of the year’s breakout hits, won both Best TV Drama and Best LGBTQ TV Show. Star Fran\u00e7ois Arnaud took Best Supporting TV Performance \u2014 Drama for his role as a closeted veteran hockey player who comes out on the ice, and series creator Jacob Tierney was named this year’s GALECA LGBTQIA+ TV Trailblazer.<\/p>\n

Hacks, a longtime favorite with GALECA voters, won Best TV Comedy and Best Written TV Show for its fifth and final season. Jean Smart<\/a> took Best TV Performance \u2014 Comedy for the third year in a row, and co-star Hannah Einbinder picked up the group’s Wilde Wit Award.<\/p>\n

Apple TV had a strong night courtesy of two of its new series. Rhea Seehorn<\/a> won Best TV Performance \u2014 Drama for the post-apocalyptic drama Pluribus, which also tied with FX’s Alien: Earth for Most Visually Striking TV Show. Widow’s Bay took Best Genre TV Show, and Kate O’Flynn won Best Supporting TV Performance \u2014 Comedy for her role in it.<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show won Best TV Musical Performance, beating out Sabrina Carpenter’s Muppets duet and Audra McDonald’s Tony Awards number. The Traitors won Best Reality Show for the third consecutive year, and Netflix’s The Hunting Wives was named Campiest TV Show.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Richard Gadd’s Half Man won Best TV Movie or Limited Series, Boots took Best Unsung TV Show, and Squid Game won Best Non-English Language TV Show. South Park won Best Animated Show, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert took Best Current Affairs Show.<\/p>\n

In career honors, Lisa Kudrow was named a GALECA TV Icon for her performance in The Comeback’s final season.<\/p>\n

GALECA’s Dorian Awards<\/a> recognize the best in television and streaming, from mainstream to queer-themed programming. The group has more than 580 members.<\/p>\n
