Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.<\/a> was placed on the seven-day injured list with a concussion, the team announced on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Guerrero, 27, exited Friday\u2019s 3-1 win over the Yankees in the sixth inning after taking a knee to the head by Yankees shortstop George Lombard Jr. while sliding into third base.<\/p>\n

He was briefly tended to by trainer Jose Ministral before walking into the dugout and he was replaced by Charles McAdoo<\/a> in the game.<\/p>\n

After the game, Schneider told reporters that Guerrero was in concussion protocol and added today that he had a headache last night which lingered into this morning.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot right-handed bat has struggled for power at the plate this season, batting .263 with seven home runs and 46 RBI in 115 games.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays recalled outfielder Daz Cameron<\/a> in a corresponding move.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Jays in early July and is hitting .367 with three home runs and 15 RBIs alongside a 1.045 OPS over 23 games with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.<\/p>\n

Cameron has 160 games of MLB experience with the\u00a0Detroit Tigers<\/a>,\u00a0Athletics<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Milwaukee Brewers<\/a>, hitting .195 with one homer and three RBIs.<\/p>\n

Additionally, right-handed pitcher Lazaro Estrada<\/a> was designated for assignment on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Estrada appeared in eight games with the Blue Jays this season and has a 5.54 earned-run average, allowing eight earned runs on eight hits in 13.0 innings pitched.<\/p>\n
