More than two dozen food and household products sold in Canada have been recalled this week over concerns ranging from possible salmonella contamination and undeclared allergens to mould and a potential fire hazard.<\/p>\n

The products are being recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.<\/p>\n
Risks: Food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause illness. Young children, pregnant women, seniors and people with weakened immune systems are at greater risk of serious or potentially fatal infections. Healthy people may experience fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.<\/p>\n
What you should do: Individuals should not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the recalled products. The products should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.<\/p>\n
According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the recall is linked to salmonella-contaminated jalape\u00f1os from Mexico associated with outbreaks in the United States. No illnesses related to the recalled products have been reported in Canada.<\/p>\n
The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which could lead to additional recalls, and is verifying the recalled products are being removed from the marketplace.<\/p>\n

The Greek Gods Honey Yogurt (2 \u00d7 650 g)
\nThe Greek Gods Organic Yogurt Plain (2 \u00d7 650 g)<\/p>\n
Codes: Selected best-before dates ranging from Aug. 1, 2026, to Sept. 15, 2026, depending on the product.<\/p>\n
The products are being recalled due to the potential presence of mould.<\/p>\n
Risks: Mould contamination may affect the safety and quality of the product.<\/p>\n
What you should do: Individuals should not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the recalled yogurt. The affected products can be returned to Costco for a full refund.<\/p>\n
According to Costco, customers who purchased the affected yogurt between June and August 2026 may have received the recalled products.<\/p>\n
The following product is part of the recall:<\/p>\n
Portable Clip-On Rechargeable Mini Fan

UPC: 062823499010<\/p>\n
The product is being recalled due to a potential fire hazard.<\/p>\n
Risks: Health Canada says the battery compartment is not sealed or clearly marked for battery polarity, creating the risk that consumers could insert a battery incorrectly, posing a fire hazard.<\/p>\n
What you should do: Individuals should immediately stop using the recalled fan and return it to CTG Brands Inc. for a refund.<\/p>\n
One incident has been reported in Canada and no injuries have been reported. Approximately 807 units were sold in Canada between October 2025 and June 2026.<\/p>\n
The following product is part of the recall:<\/p>\n
Zhou Hei Ya (Chinese characters only) Wide Vermicelli with Sesame Sauce (248 g)
UPC: 6 978378 870324<\/p>\n
Codes: 2026\/03\/13 and 2026\/10\/12<\/p>\n
The product is being recalled because it contains shrimp that is not declared on the label.<\/p>\n
Risks: May pose a serious or life-threatening health risk to people with a shrimp allergy or sensitivity.<\/p>\n
What you should do: Consumers should not eat, serve, use, sell or distribute the recalled noodles. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.<\/p>\n
The recall was triggered by a consumer complaint, according to the CFIA. One reported reaction has been associated with the product.<\/p>\n
