Ella Langley\u2019s<\/a> \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d debuted on the Hot Country Songs chart in November 2025, and the track only needed about a month before it worked its way to No. 1. It would not be long before \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d stood out as not only the most-consumed country cut in the United States, but also the most popular song of any style.<\/p>\n Now, more than half a year later, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d is still in charge of the Billboard Hot 100, the most competitive songs tally in the nation, and unsurprisingly, it also controls the Hot Country Songs roster yet again. As Langley\u2019s breakout hit earns another stay in the highest rung on the biggest country rundown, it ends one historic tie and moves up on a historic ranking.<\/p>\n Ella Langley Has Reigned Now For 35 Weeks<\/p>\n \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d<\/a> is steady at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart<\/a> this week. The tally lists the most popular country songs in the U.S., and it is compiled using a combination of streams, sales and radio airplay data. As of this frame, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d has now led the charge for 35 of the 42 weeks it has spent somewhere on the roster.<\/p>\n Ella Langley Breaks A Historic Tie<\/p>\n \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d becomes only the third single in history to spend at least 35 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Last time around, Langley\u2019s smash was tied with Sam Hunt\u2019s \u201cBody Like a Back Road,\u201d which held on for 34 stints beginning in 2017. Now, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d stands alone as the third-longest-running ruler ever, while \u201cBody Like a Back Road\u201d falls to fourth place on the all-time list.<\/p>\n Bebe Rexha And Florida Georgia Line Still Lead<\/p>\n Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line claim the sturdiest No. 1 in Hot Country Songs history. Their unlikely collaboration \u201cMeant to Be\u201d ruled for 50 frames, just shy of a complete year. Shaboozey\u2019s \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d comes next. That introductory smash reached the summit in 2024 and continued to reign into the following year, racking up a total of 45 turns in the spotlight.<\/p>\n Ella Langley Blocks Morgan Wallen From No. 1 Again<\/p>\n Once again, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d prevents Morgan Wallen\u2019s new single \u201cBeen By Now\u201d from becoming another leader for the singer on the Hot Country Songs chart. Last week, \u201cBeen By Now\u201d<\/a> debuted at No. 2, though Wallen did replace Langley atop several other rosters, including the Country Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts. In both instances, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d has taken back its control.<\/p>\n Ella Langley Makes Billboard Hot 100 History<\/p>\n \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d is unmoved at No. 1 on two Billboard charts this week. The country smash earns a historic seventeenth week atop the busy roster, the most important for songs in America. <\/p>\n With 17 weeks at No. 1, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d breaks out of a tie with \u201cOne Sweet Day\u201d by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men, \u201cDespacito\u201d by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, and Wallen\u2019s own \u201cLast Night,\u201d which all stopped after 16 frames. \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d now stands alone as the fourth-longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n Ella Langley Return To No. 1 On Three Additional Charts<\/p>\n It\u2019s a huge week for \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d which leads three rosters it did not command just days ago. The single returns to No. 1 on the Country Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts, while also reclaiming the summit on the all-genre Streaming Songs tally.
