Former undisputed super-lightweight world champion Josh Taylor has offered his thoughts on Anthony Joshua<\/a>\u2019s chances of defeating Tyson Fury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fury returned to the ring and scored a first stoppage win in almost four years as he halted Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in an unusually low-profile bout in Thailand on July 24, as former world title challenger Wach retired on his stool after seven rounds of action.<\/p>\n

The following day, Joshua made his comeback, though his chance to remind fight fans of his quality instead exposed his flaws, as \u2018AJ\u2019 was floored by Kristian Prenga on two occasions in the opening round<\/a> but bounced back in round two to score a knockout of his own.<\/p>\n

Now it seems as though Fury vs. Joshua will be announced imminently and speaking on Fight Your Corner<\/a>, Taylor labelled the match-up as a \u201950\/50\u2019 affair, but recognised that the fight has lost some of it\u2019s appeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all had a bit of a panic when Joshua went over, but he got up and he got the job done, fantastic. But, I think the appeal of that fight now is slowly fading away.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t get me wrong, I\u2019ll watch it, but the two of them are so far past their best that it\u2019s lost its blockbuster appeal to me \u2026 I think it\u2019s a genuine 50\/50.\u201d<\/p>\n
