Marcus Rashford said he would like to play football without his “name being mentioned every day” after Gary Neville tried to start a conversation about the Manchester United forward on a podcast.<\/p>\n

Rashford replied to a clip of the Stick to Football podcast in which Jamie Carragher expressed his frustration when former United defender Neville asked for thoughts on Rashford.<\/p>\n

“Can we do a podcast without mentioning Rashford?” Carragher said.<\/p>\n

“Stop it. Oh my God. It’s like the Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Rashford\u2026 like a little part of the podcast. The Trent part or the Rashford part.”<\/p>\n

Rashford replied to the clip in a post on X, saying: “Thanks, Jamie. It would be great to be able to get my head down and play football without my name being mentioned every day.”<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old looks set to stay at United after spending last season on loan at Barcelona, with whom he won the La Liga title.<\/p>\n

His last competitive appearance for United came under former manager Ruben Amorim in December 2024, but he could feature in their Premier League opener against Hull on Saturday.<\/p>\n
