(Image Credit: Submitted\/Sonnet McGuire)<\/p>\n<p>By Nigel Maxwell<\/p>\n<p>Swiper no swiping<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tAug 20, 2026 | 5:16 PM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Residents of and visitors to the Emma Lake area are literally getting outfoxed by some sneaky thieves.<\/p>\n<p>Four red foxes and one silver fox are responsible for stealing all sorts of footwear, not to mention also oven mitts, work gloves and dog toys. The goods are later found on the walking trails. <\/p>\n<p>Linda MacDonald has lived in the area for 42 years and goes for daily walks near Murray Point. She told paNOW she has come across dozens of shoes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday when I walked I think there were eight [shoes].
