ION peaked at 2.2 million viewers near the end of the game. The contest was ION\u2019s largest audience of any kind in nearly four years, and the 297,000 average viewers on its FAST channel was the highest for the network for a WNBA game. The Fever-Wings matchup ended up being the most-watched sporting event of the day on TV, even beating out a Buccaneers-Jets preseason game on NFL Network. Season to date, WNBA games on ION are averaging 589,000 viewers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-media \">Meanwhile, Clark, Sophie Cunningham and the Fever helped ESPN to its most-watched WNBA game ever two days later, as their matchup with the Atlanta Dream averaged 2.6 million viewers, a cable TV record. That game also peaked at 4.0 million viewers.
