More than a dozen Brampton Transit bus routes will see service adjustments that will improve reliability ahead of the fall season, the city says.<\/p>\n
The changes will start in September and will see operational changes, updated schedules and improved service reliability on some routes \u201cto align with ridership demand,\u201d the City of Brampton says.<\/p>\n
Here are all the upcoming changes to Brampton Transit bus routes starting on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n
Weekday schedules have been adjusted to improve service reliability on the following routes:<\/p>\n
501 Z\u00fcm Queen.
\n511\/511C Z\u00fcm Steeles.
\n7\/7A Kennedy.
\n14\/14A Torbram.
\n18 Dixie.<\/p>\n
Saturday schedules on the following routes have been adjusted to improve service reliability:<\/p>\n
505 Z\u00fcm Bovaird.
\n5\/5A Bovaird.
\n18 Dixie.
\n23 Sandalwood.<\/p>\n
Sunday schedules have been adjusted on 18 Dixie to improve service reliability.<\/p>\n
30 Airport Road (Caledon Trips): Weekday trip arriving at National Logistics Services (NLS) will be adjusted to arrive at 7:17 a.m. and depart at 7:18 a.m.
\nService on 199 UTM Express and 200 Series Secondary School Specials will resume on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n
Brampton Transit routes have seen significant changes this year after revenues dropped 13 per cent in 2025, including the suspension of several routes in April due to low ridership.<\/p>\n
City numbers show that transit use declined by 20 per cent in 2025 from the previous year, and that lost revenue amounted to $26 million.<\/a><\/p>\n A report projected a year-end operating deficit of $17.5 million in 2025, and said the loss of revenue was \u201cprimarily driven\u201d by federal immigration policy changes that impact international students. Revenues from Brampton Transit had previously seen an approximately 40 per cent increase in riders since the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
