Could it be Michael Morales? Does Shavkat Rakhmonov deserve a shot if he returns?<\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian, Prates, wants to be next, and if he gets the shot and wins, he&#8217;s already talking about who he could face in his first title defence.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/imago1069255574.webp\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Carlos Prates Talks First Title Defence<\/p>\n<p>Talking after UFC 330, Carlos Prates spoke to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DcKmfsjt1Gt\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Champions Collection<\/a> and was told that fellow contender Morales was scared of fighting him.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to send a stern warning to Morales and predict how the fight could play out, envisaging a first-round knockout in his favour.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He said I\u2019m scared about him? I\u2019m not scared to fight you. I\u2019m No. 1 contender, so I wanna fight for the belt. UFC never offered the fight against you. If they offer me, of course I would knock you out really fast. First round, so don\u2019t worry. You\u2019re gonna fight and I\u2019m gonna knock you out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He doubled down on the prediction, stating, &#8220;After I get my belt, I&#8217;ll knock you out&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Prates&#8217; Strong Title Push<\/p>\n<p>Carlos Prates is, without a doubt, one of the most entertaining fighters on the entire roster. He&#8217;s flashy, marketable, highly skilled and above all else, immensely talented.<\/p>\n<p>Bursting onto the UFC scene, many were surprised that he didn&#8217;t immediately get a shot in the UFC.
