{"id":867653,"date":"2026-08-22T17:58:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T17:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/867653\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T17:58:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T17:58:15","slug":"3-men-charged-after-loaded-handgun-seized-by-police-in-brampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/867653\/","title":{"rendered":"3 men charged after loaded handgun seized by police in Brampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three men have been charged after police say an illegal and loaded handgun was seized during a traffic stop in Brampton earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Peel Regional Police say officers were investigating a vehicle in the area of Cedarbrook Road and Edgewater Court around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 10.<\/p>\n<p>There were three people inside the vehicle and one person allegedly provided officers with a false name before fleeing the area on foot.<\/p>\n<p>Officers searched the vehicle and seized a loaded handgun with a magazine containing ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>The person who fled was later located in another area and arrested, police say.
