The restaurant can be found in the resort town of Mont-Tremblant, about an hour-and-a-half drive from Montreal and a perfect weekend getaway spot. <\/p>\n

Opened in 2003, Restaurant La Quintessence is the restaurant of the five-star luxury boutique Hotel Quintessence, which is known for its enchanting and luxurious setting on Lake Tremblant. <\/p>\n

The hotel and restaurant’s name, Quintessence, comes from the ancient idea of a fifth element in alchemy and philosophy, a mysterious force believed to represent the essence of nature and the heavens. <\/p>\n

“Our goal is to provide our guests with ‘the quintessential things of life,’ all the elements to experience a lasting sense of well-being,” says the hotel. <\/p>\n

Restaurant La Quintessence is set apart from other restaurants by its stunning location. <\/p>\n

Guests can choose to dine in the restaurant’s main dining room, which has beautiful lake views, eat al fresco on the outdoor terrace, or opt for one of the restaurant’s private salons for a more intimate experience. <\/p>\n

For a truly unique meal, diners can also enjoy an exclusive Chef’s Table in the restaurant’s “greenhouse” facing the lake, and sample a tasting menu that includes oysters and caviar.<\/p>\n

A CAA and AAA-awarded restaurant, the menu at La Quintessence features flavours of the Laurentian region, with cuisine rooted in French culture and featuring ingredients from local producers.<\/p>\n

Guests can enjoy dishes like a microgreens salad from Mauricie, foie gras terrine with apricot filling, orange and verbena jelly, almond crumble and brioche, and a boreal AAA beef tartare served with balsam fir mustard, marinated spruce tips, juneberry gel, arugula and parmesan salad.<\/p>\n

Diners recommend<\/a> the Caesar salad, which comes with fried capers, Parmesan, croutons, bacon, and Caesar sauce, the Lobster risotto with truffle, and the restaurant’s fish dishes, including the Chinook salmon with coral lentil risotto and broccolini with a lavender cream sauce, and the Halibut filet, which is cooked in a banana leaf and served with maple and sesame bok choys, ginger sweet potato pur\u00e9e, asparagus, and a\u00e7a\u00ed butter sauce.<\/p>\n

Be sure to stick around for dessert, which includes dark chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, lavender cr\u00e8me br\u00fbl\u00e9e, and a tartlet with chocolate mousse and red berry compote. <\/p>\n

Guests can also enjoy musical summer evenings at the restaurant every Thursday from 7 p.m. until closing, with live music played by guest artists framed by the ambience of the lake. <\/p>\n
