{"id":869039,"date":"2026-08-23T23:04:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-23T23:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/869039\/"},"modified":"2026-08-23T23:04:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-23T23:04:16","slug":"winless-ottawa-redblacks-dismiss-vice-president-burke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/869039\/","title":{"rendered":"Winless Ottawa Redblacks dismiss vice president Burke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The winless Ottawa Redblacks have dismissed vice president of football operations Shawn Burke, according to TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The team later confirmed the news <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/REDBLACKS\/status\/2091607857862963445?s=20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/REDBLACKS\/status\/2091607857862963445?s=20\">in an announcement later Sunday afternoon<\/a>, saying an update on football operations leadership structure would be provided shortly. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Redblacks are 0-10 so far this season after a 30-point loss to the Montreal Alouettes Thursday evening. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Redblacks are the ninth team in league history to lose their first 10 games of a season.
