Two names came to mind for Gilbert
\nBurns<\/a> when asked about who possesses the best jiu-jitsu in the
\n
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Burns (22-10) himself was a feared jiu-jitsu artist with nine
\ncareer submissions. \u201cDurinho\u201d complimenting someone\u2019s jiu-jitsu
\ncertainly carries weight and he recently revealed that two of his
\ncompatriots have the best grappling in the UFC, although in
\ndifferent aspects.<\/p>\n

Charles Oliveira gets Burns\u2019 nod for MMA jiu-jitsu, while Diego
\nLopes stands out in the pure form
\n
\nBurns believes Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> has the best MMA-focused jiu-jitsu in the UFC.
\nHowever, he notes that MMA-focused jiu-jitsu is very different from
\npure jiu-jitsu, with the striking aspect completely out of the
\nequation. According to the former fighter, Diego Lopes<\/a>
\nhas the best pure jiu-jitsu game.<\/p>\n

\u201cPure jiu-jitsu \u2013 that\u2019s a different question,\u201d Burns told MMA
\nFighting. \u201cBecause jiu-jitsu in the UFC, I would say Charles
\n[Oliveira] is up there. But pure jiu-jitsu, I think Diego Lopes has
\ngreat pure jiu-jitsu. That\u2019s what I heard from a lot of guys who
\ntrained with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oliveira (37-11) is undoubtedly one of the greatest jiu-jitsu
\nartists in the history of mixed martial arts. The former
\nlightweight champ has the most finishes and submissions in UFC
\nhistory. He is on a two-fight winning streak and coming off a BMF
\ntitle win over Max
\nHolloway<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lopes left his home in Brazil at the age of 19 to teach
\njiu-jitsu in Mexico, which has since become a second home to him.
\nHe is 2-2 in his last four, with both losses coming in failed
\nfeatherweight title bids against Alexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a>. He\u2019s revealed his intentions to move up to
\nlightweight, so a clash against Oliveira could be on the cards.<\/p>\n

Gilbert
\nBurns<\/a> has two names for the best jiu-jitsu in MMA:<\/p>\n

“MMA jiu-jitsu, it’s Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>. Pure jiu-jitsu, it’s Diego
\nLopes<\/a>.”<\/p>\n
