Wyndham Clark\u2019s three-shot victory at the BMW Championship didn\u2019t do justice to how close the tournament actually was coming down the stretch on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Clark endured a tough time on Sunday at Bellerive as he struggled with his game, and it seemed like it was all getting too much for him mentally.<\/p>\n

However, the 32-year-old American showed his true class by making three consecutive birdies to close out his final round.<\/p>\n

Wyndham Clark<\/a> eventually won the BMW Championship<\/a> by three strokes from Patrick Cantlay.<\/p>\n

Clark was actually embroiled in controversy on Sunday at the BMW<\/a>, after he was accused of nestling numerous different irons in behind his ball in the rough on the 14th hole.<\/p>\n

However, nothing came of that in the end, and the 32-year-old now has three PGA Tour wins to his name this season.<\/p>\n

Wyndham Clark says he\u2019s one of the best in the world after BMW Championship win<\/p>\n

The two-time US Open champion spoke with Amanda Balionis after winning the BMW Championship.<\/p>\n

Clark responded when asked what he proved by triumphing at Bellerive on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it shows that I am one of the best players in the world,\u201d the two-time US Open champion insisted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know everyone maybe gives me a hard time, but I feel like I have come into my own. <\/p>\n

\u201cThree wins in one season is my best year yet, coming off of my worst year ever and I am really pleased with where I am at right now.\u201c<\/p>\n

He then revealed what his caddie kept reminding him throughout the final round at Bellerive.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt good with my swing I just wasn\u2019t hitting good shots,\u201c Clark said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe I was not focused on a few of the shots, but I started saying, \u2018swing free\u2019, that\u2019s what Dave kept telling me, and in the end I was really proud of myself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did not let it get away, even though it felt like I did it was still there, and I finished strong.\u201c<\/p>\n

Wyndham Clark says how holding a big lead feels like a no-win situation<\/p>\n

Clark led by five strokes heading into the final round at Bellerive on Sunday.<\/p>\n

And he responded when asked how he felt about that as he teed off on the first hole.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was weird. I wasn\u2019t really nervous, I was kind of out of it. I was just making dumb bogeys. I could not believe I did not make anything on the greens. I tried to keep myself going,\u201c Clark admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when I made the putt on the par three it got me back and I jumped right back into it. It was fun actually. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs much as I would have loved to run away with this, it got the juices flowing and I felt the anxiety coming at the end.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to win. When you\u2019re up by five the only thing you can do is blow it unless someone shoots really low.\u201c<\/p>\n
