THE CANADIAN PRESS\/Christopher Katsarov<\/p>\n<p>By The Canadian Press<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tAug 24, 2026 | 7:39 AM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>OTTAWA \u2014 The Ottawa Redblacks appointed longtime CFL executive Jim Popp as a senior football adviser Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes after the 0-10 club fired vice-president of football operations Shawn Burke on Sunday. Burke\u2019s dismissal followed the departure of team president Adrian Sciarra, who stepped down six days earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Popp has spent 28 seasons in the CFL as a coach and front-office executive and has been a part of five Grey Cup-winning teams.
