The seizure brings the number of illegal firearms seized by Peel police this year to 112.<\/p>\n<p>According to a news release by Peel police, officers from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau stopped a vehicle near Cedarbrook Road and Edgewater Court at about 2:20 a.m. on Aug. 10. Police said one of three occupants provided a false name before fleeing on foot.<\/p>\n<p>A search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded illegal handgun with ammunition.
