Hundreds of residents are being notified that they will soon need a new family doctor in the City of Merritt and vicinity.<\/p>\n
Dr. Donald McLeod, announced via email to patients that after 47 years of family practice in the Nicola Valley, that he would be retiring as of October 15.<\/p>\n
In his email he noted that after more than 100,000 hours of hospital emergency calls, 2000 deliveries and multiple procedures, he was closing his practice due to health and family reasons.<\/p>\n
McLeod added that patient files will be stored safely and securely by RSRS and will be available upon request from the company.<\/p>\n
McLeod also thanked his patients and staff for support and trust over the years he served the community.<\/p>\n
