1 in hospital, 1 in custody after Lower Mainland shooting<\/p>\n

The victim of an early evening shooting in Aldergrove is reportedly in stable condition in hospital tonight.<\/p>\n
Just before 7:30 p.m. on Monday night, Aug. 24, Langley Mounties were alerted to a shooting in the 26900-block of 26A Avenue.<\/p>\n
One victim has been transported to hospital, while a suspect was taken into custody a short time later, said RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom.<\/p>\n
\u201cResponding officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away, and conducted a high-risk traffic stop,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
One person was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Residents and commuters can expect road closures and police presence in the Aldergrove neighbourhood tonight, but there is no risk to the public, Sharoom said.<\/p>\n
