Jelly Roll took multiple shots at President Donald Trump during his Monday night monologue as guest host of \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live,\u201d catching more than a few viewers by surprise.<\/p>\n

The country singer<\/a>, best known for his anthems \u201cSave Me,\u201d \u201cSon of a Sinner\u201d and \u201cI Am Not Okay,\u201d filled in for host Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> for the second year in a row, and made himself right at home by slinging jabs about the president\u2019s cringy antics at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, as well as his weight gain.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s talk about the main event of America this weekend. It was the big IndyCar race hosted by the president,\u201d Jelly Roll said. \u201cThe cars drove through the streets of D.C., and there\u2019s Donald Trump who apparently has never held a flag before.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cWhat a s\u2013t job! How do you f\u2013k up waving a flag?\u201d<\/p>\n

The jokes at Trump\u2019s expense didn\u2019t stop there, as the Grammy winner went on: \u201cBut the president seemed to enjoy the IndyCar race, which was a real switch up for him, \u2019cause normally he only likes his own race.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then called out the president for driving his motorcade around the track.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump also drove around the track in his motorcade, doing what they call the lap of honor, which sounds like a loyalty program at a strip club,\u201d Jelly Roll quipped. \u201c5% cash back in the champagne room for all Lap of Honor members.\u201d<\/p>\n

At this moment, Jelly Roll took aim at the president\u2019s weight, highlighting how Trump gained 14 pounds since his last physical.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s crazy. Think about this, y\u2019all. In the last few years, I\u2019ve lost 300 lb. That means I\u2019ve lost an entire Donald Trump,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd let\u2019s be honest, based on his approval ratings, it seems like most of the country wants to do the same thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This scathing commentary of Trump took many of Kimmel\u2019s fans by surprise. \u201cWait, hold up. Isn\u2019t Jelly Roll MAGA?\u201d one fan asked on YouTube. \u201cI\u2019m very confused right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another wrote, \u201cDidn\u2019t see this coming.\u201d A third expressed a similar sentiment, writing, \u201cUm, wow I was not expecting him to trash talk Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

While many in the comments assumed Jelly Roll was conservative, the singer notably shared in the past that he has no party affiliation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important to establish earlier that I am a musician and that I have no political alliance,\u201d he said in 2024 while giving testimony about the fentanyl crisis before members of Congress. \u201cI am neither Democrat nor Republican. In fact, because of my past, my right to vote has been restricted. Thus far, I have never paid attention to a political race in my life. Ironically, I think that makes me the perfect person to speak about this.\u201d<\/p>\n
