{"id":872474,"date":"2026-08-26T19:46:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T19:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/872474\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T19:46:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T19:46:11","slug":"revolution-medicines-gets-fda-nod-for-targeted-pancreatic-cancer-drug","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/872474\/","title":{"rendered":"Revolution Medicines gets FDA nod for targeted pancreatic cancer drug"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Menta &#8220;Steve&#8221; Wallace shows a bottle of daraxonrasib, Revolution Medicines&#8217; pancreatic cancer drug, at his home in The Woodlands, Texas, U.S., May 29, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Danielle Villasana | Reuters<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday approved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/RVMD\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Revolution Medicines&#8217;<\/a> targeted drug for adults with metastatic pancreatic cancer who have received prior treatment or cannot receive combination chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/04\/13\/pancreatic-cancer-drug-daraxonrasib-from-revolution-medicines-succeeds-in-trial.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The drug<\/a>, branded as Rasonque and also known as daraxonrasib, is a once-daily pill designed to block several forms of the RAS protein, which helps drive tumor growth in many pancreatic cancers.<\/p>\n<p>The approval was based on a study of 500 adults with previously treated metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma, the most common type of pancreatic cancer.
