{"id":872770,"date":"2026-08-27T01:35:36","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T01:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/872770\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T01:35:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T01:35:36","slug":"winklers-tristan-peters-homers-in-fourth-straight-mlb-game-pembinavalleyonline-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/872770\/","title":{"rendered":"Winkler&#8217;s Tristan Peters homers in fourth straight MLB game &#8211; PembinaValleyOnline.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Winkler product Tristan Peters is drawing attention across major league baseball\u00a0with his recent home run streak.<\/p>\n<p>Peters, who&#8217;s thriving in his rookie season as a centre fielder for the Chicago White Sox, homered for the fourth straight game against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, helping lead the Sox to an 11-7 victory.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old&#8217;s home run streak leaves him one shy of tying the White Sox\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/whitesox\/news\/munetaka-murakami-homers-in-5th-straight-game-tying-white-sox-mark\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">franchise record<\/a>\u00a0of five consecutive games.<\/p>\n<p>His streak comes just over a year after Peters made his MLB debut with the Tampa Bay Rays on Aug. 8, 2025. He later joined the White Sox following a Dec. 18 trade.<\/p>\n<p>Across his last seven games, the former Foothills Composite student has batted .318 and reached base in more than 42 percent of his plate appearances.<\/p>\n<p>After the COVID-shortened season in 2020, Peters moved to Southern Illinois University in 2021, and even played a short stint with the Savannah Bananas that summer.<\/p>\n<p>That same summer, Peters was drafted in the seventh round of the 2021 MLB Draft and went on to sign his first professional contract.<\/p>\n<p>Peters now has a chance to tie the White Sox franchise record for consecutive games with a home run when they face the Rangers again Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Winkler product Tristan Peters is drawing attention across major league baseball\u00a0with his recent home run streak.
