Now, a new Counterpoint report shows that the iPhone 17 has retained the top spot in global smartphone sales in Q2 2026.<\/p>\n<p>According to the research firm\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/counterpointresearch.com\/en\/insights\/iphone-17-global-best-selling-smartphone-in-q2-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">latest data<\/a>, the iPhone 17 accounted for 6% of global smartphone unit sales in Q2 2026. Apple also secured five other spots in the top 10.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1787797340_339_gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"iPhone 17 continues to lead global smartphone sales in Q2 2026\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro_max-13964.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro Max<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro-14049.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro<\/a> ranked second and third, respectively, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17e-14487.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17e<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_16-13317.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 16<\/a> also made the top 10.<\/p>\n<p>On the Android side, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_s26_ultra_5g-14320.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra<\/a> took the top spot. Samsung also had four other models in the top 10, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_a07-14066.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Galaxy A07 4G<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_a17_5g-14041.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Galaxy A17 5G<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_a17-14157.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Galaxy A17 4G<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/samsung_galaxy_s26_5g-14456.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Galaxy S26<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1787797341_222_gsmarena_002.jpg\" alt=\"iPhone 17 continues to lead global smartphone sales in Q2 2026\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The report notes that Apple saw increased sales across India, Japan, and the Middle East and Africa, with sales nearly doubling in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Collectively, Apple and Samsung accounted for 26% of global smartphone sales, up 2% from the same quarter last year.
