Sean Strickland intends to complete anger management training in order to reduce his suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).<\/p>\n
Strickland (29-7 MMA, 16-7 UFC) was suspended six months and fined $5,000<\/a>, along with additional legal fees, by the NSAC on Thursday after he entered the cage at a Tuff-N-Uff event on June 28 and threw strikers at an athlete who had just competed and won against the fighter Strickland was cornering.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Part of the punishment package was the opportunity for Strickland to reduce his suspension time to 4.5 months if he completes anger management training, which would clear him for a return to competition on Nov. 14.<\/p>\n According to the former UFC middleweight champion, he intends on fulfilling that obligation to clear his way back to the octagon, because he has his sights set on new 185-pound kingpin Khamzat Chimaev (via Instagram<\/a>):<\/p>\n It remains to be seen exactly what type of training Strickland will have to complete to satisfy the commission.
