Note: To think yesterday began as a typical late-August day during the dog days of summer. That changed in the afternoon when Connor Hellebuyck\u2019s camp blew up the NHL news cycle, announcing through his agent that the top netminder wanted out of Winnipeg<\/a> which the team did acknowledge<\/a>. Note II: On a much less dramatic goaltending front, we learned yesterday<\/a> that Altona\u2019s Cole Kehler will serve as the Winnipeg Jets\u2019 Emergency Backup Goalie for the upcoming season. Kehler, who played three games for the Manitoba Moose in 2021, will travel with the team as part of the NHL\u2019s new EBUG requirements.<\/p>\n
