Umar Nurmagomedov has said that he believes his brother Usman is capable of competing with just about any lightweight in the world.<\/p>\n

For the longest time now, Usman Nurmagomedov has been viewed as one of the best lightweight fighters on the planet. However, he hasn\u2019t had his full exposure to the mixed martial arts community just yet as a result of him competing in PFL instead of UFC.<\/p>\n

Right now, there is a lot of talk<\/a> about where he will go for his next move, and a lot of people believe that it\u2019s likely we will see Nurmagomedov finally competing on the UFC stage sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, Umar Nurmagomedov had his say on his brother\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov\u2019s potential praised by his brother<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s an amazing fighter, and I\u2019m a huge fan of his,\u201d Nurmagomedov told MMA Junkie of Usman. \u201cI like how he spars, how he works, how he does everything as a professional. And even in the cage, he shows he\u2019s a high-level fighter. I think he can be competitive with anybody in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes people think in other promotions, (they\u2019re) bad fighters, but it\u2019s not like that. For example, Shabliy is one of the toughest guys, Alexandr Shabliy. Even Arman (Tsarukyan) knows that because he sparred with him a lot. He knows how he\u2019s tough, and I think Usman can compete with anybody in the world. Gaethje, Ilia (Topuria), Arman, (Mauricio) Ruffy, anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to see,\u201d Nurmagomedov said. \u201cI don\u2019t want to go ahead (and say) where I want to see him, but he has time to talk with both sides, and they\u2019re going to figure it out. I don\u2019t want to give some commentary. He\u2019s going to do the decision. It\u2019s his life. I can give him advice, but it\u2019s life, and he has to make the decision. We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n
