Police have charged two men after a months-long investigation into a series of commercial break-and-enters that targeted several businesses in Calgary.<\/p>\n

Calgary police say the investigation began when officers responded to a break-in at Norcan Fluid Power Ltd., near Glenmore Trail and 52 Street SE, sometime between the evening of July 27 and the morning of July 28. <\/p>\n

Investigators say two suspects entered the fenced yard and stole about $100,000 in specialized electrical equipment.<\/p>\n

As police continued investigating similar commercial break\u2011ins, they identified two suspects believed to be involved in multiple property-related offences across the city.<\/p>\n

On Aug. 18, officers executed a search warrant at a home in the community of Riverbend where they found a stolen vehicle and numerous items believed to have been taken from other businesses.<\/p>\n

Police say the stolen vehicle has been returned to its owner, along with more than $30,000 in stolen property recovered for affected companies.<\/p>\n

Adam MacArthur, 38, and Douglas Warrington, 37, face multiple break-and-enter and property-related charges. MacArthur is accused of several break\u2011ins, mischief over $5,000, possession of stolen property and driving uninsured, while Warrington faces similar break-and-enter charges plus driving while prohibited.<\/p>\n
