Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is making his much-anticipated return to the court after missing the 2025-26 season with a torn left Achilles tendon.<\/p>\n
It’s clear his jumper is in top form, based on a recent practice, when he made 1,100 of 1,168 shots (94.2 percent).<\/p>\n
Lillard, of course, is one of the NBA’s best clutch shooters in recent memory. He also has limitless range, which has helped him become a dominant scorer over the years.<\/p>\n
The former Weber State star has a place in the Basketball Hall of Fame waiting for him someday thanks to a resume that includes nine All-Star Game appearances, seven All-NBA team spots and membership on the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.<\/p>\n
Over 900 starts in 13 regular seasons, Lillard has averaged 25.1 points, 6.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He’s also hit 2,804 three-pointers (222 more in the playoffs for 3,026 total).<\/p>\n
Lillard is back in Portland, where he spent his first 11 seasons, after playing two years with the Milwaukee Bucks. He’ll be part of a new backcourt alongside Ja Morant, who is looking to make a comeback of his own after the two-time All-Star had a few tough seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.<\/p>\n
