Williams Racing driver Alex Albon has more than 100 Grand Prix starts to his name.<\/p>\n

Throughout Alex Albon\u2019s<\/a> Formula 1 career, he\u2019s driven for three teams and raced at 31 different circuits.<\/p>\n

In that time, he\u2019s secured podium finishes for Red Bull at Sakhir and Mugello, while there are five tracks where he\u2019s never scored a point.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas and Interlagos are the only two circuits still on the F1 calendar<\/a> where Albon can break that duck for Williams<\/a> this season.<\/p>\n

Portimao is aiming to return to F1<\/a>, while Le Castellet and the Nurburgring are unlikely to be back on the schedule any time soon.<\/p>\n

Each circuit on the F1 calendar has a degree of danger, given the speeds at which the drivers race.<\/p>\n

However, Albon believes there\u2019s one track in particular where changes are needed to avoid a \u2018big crash\u2019, something that Mick Schumacher and Lando Norris have discovered in the past at this venue.<\/p>\n

The Williams driver was asked on the P1 with Matt and Tommy Podcast to rank the various tracks on the Formula 1 calendar.<\/p>\n

Albon previously suggested Zandvoort was too narrow for F1<\/a>, but when asked to choose between the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix<\/a> and the Mexico City Grand Prix, he said: \u201cYes, Saudi.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is a proper track. I am scared on the day that one driver is going to have a big crash there.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we\u2019re doing 300 kilometres per hour, and it\u2019s a blind spot to 100 metres in a lot of the corners. Just make the straights, straight.<\/p>\n

\u201c[On our slow laps] we\u2019re like kind of dancing across where we think a car would be on their push laps. So it gets a bit sketchy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pierre Gasly called for \u2018respect\u2019 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix before first lap crash<\/p>\n

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix made its Formula 1 debut in 2021, when Lewis Hamilton won the race.<\/p>\n

Max Verstappen and Hamilton clashed after that race<\/a>, with the Dutchman penalised for some dangerous driving.<\/p>\n

Red Bull won the next three races at the track, with Verstappen (2022, 2024) and Sergio Perez (2023) sharing the victories.<\/p>\n

Oscar Piastri ended Red Bull\u2019s grasp on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit this season, getting the better of Verstappen going into the first corner.<\/p>\n

However, there was a lap one safety car in 2025, when Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda collided.<\/p>\n

Before the race, Gasly said to the press, via Motorsport<\/a>: \u201cAs a racing driver, I must say you\u2019re more focused on the track layout itself, and I\u2019m probably less so focused on the safety aspect of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, it is very high speed, the walls are very close, from the track, you have kind of poor visibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, there have been some changes which did improve [it]. But then, at the end of the day, it\u2019s also F1, and there will always be a safety concern in some ways.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, it\u2019s not something that\u2019s really in the back of my head, and I\u2019m just going out there knowing that I got a strong car, I\u2019m in control of what I do, and I\u2019m feeling safe when I\u2019m in my car.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s all I can control, and it does feel like we\u2019re not in a bad place here, but for sure, there are other tracks which bring a bit more safety to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gasly\u2019s thoughts appear to echo what Albon was saying about how there are other, safer tracks on the calendar.<\/p>\n

F1 are set to race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit until 2027, before the proposed Qiddiya circuit<\/a> takes its place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Williams Racing driver Alex Albon has more than 100 Grand Prix starts to his name.
