Scott Wolf\u2019s estranged wife, Kelley Wolf, is breaking her silence one year after suffering a heartbreaking mental health crisis<\/a>. <\/p>\n

After working with doctors, therapists and psychologists, the former \u201cReal World\u201d star took to Instagram Friday evening to reveal she was diagnosed with \u201cbreakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis,\u201d which she claimed was brought on by a combination of stress, past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens and prescription medications.<\/p>\n

\u201cA perfect storm,\u201d the 49-year-old called it<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kelley said the episode made her feel as though her \u201cbrain had been hijacked\u201d before issuing an apology to the \u201cParty Of Five\u201d star, 58, and others affected by her behavior.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so sorry,\u201d she wrote, adding that she put her estranged husband through a \u201cnightmare that wouldn\u2019t even fly in a movie script.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelley also acknowledged that the things she publicly said and shared during the ordeal were not \u201cbased in truth or reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have spent my life believing in love, hope kindness, and compassion,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWhat I became was the opposite. Cruel. Vicious. Mean.\u201d<\/p>\n

The apology comes more than a year after the former couple\u2019s tumultuous split played out publicly.<\/p>\n

Kelley announced in June 2025 that she and Scott were separating<\/a> after 21 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Scott subsequently confirmed he had filed for divorce, calling it \u201cthe most difficult decision of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days later, Kelley was placed on a psychiatric hold at a Utah hospital after a friend requested a wellness check.<\/p>\n

In the weeks that followed, she posted a series of troubling messages and videos on social media, while Scott was granted a temporary restraining order and temporary custody of their three children.<\/p>\n

Kelley was later arrested<\/a> in August 2025 over alleged online harassment<\/a> and doxxing of friends and family members.<\/p>\n

The following month, she was admitted to a mental health facility<\/a> again and placed on a court-ordered involuntary psychiatric hold for at least 60 days following an evaluation.<\/p>\n

Kelley reflected on the tumultuous period in her statement Friday, admitting it took time for her to understand what had happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow\u2026I have taken about 100 deep breaths to write this,\u201d she began. \u201cHow do I even start? It\u2019s been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite their rocky split, Scott and Kelley appeared to be on better terms earlier this year when they reunited with their three children<\/a> for a family outing at Universal Studios.<\/p>\n

Scott later described 2025 as the \u201chardest year of my life,\u201d but said he shared photos from the outing<\/a> because he felt their family deserved for things not to remain in an \u201cawful dark place.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it appears he is supporting Kelley as she publicly addresses what happened.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDoc\u201d star responded to her emotional Instagram statement by leaving five red heart emojis in the comments section.<\/p>\n

Scott and Kelley got married in 2004, and share sons Jackson and Miller and daughter Lucy.<\/p>\n
