Aussie rock legends Rose Tattoo have confirmed their frontman Angry Anderson is being treated after suffering a heart attack while on tour in Europe.

The band announced the cancellation of their final European tour on August 10 and in a post on social media channels on Monday, shared that their hardman singer remained in hospital.

Previously, the Tatts shared a photo of 79-year-old Anderson performing with the band in Cologne on August 8.

But their next scheduled appearance at the Alcatraz Metal festival in Belgium the next day was cancelled.

The following day, the band shared Anderson had been hospitalised due to a “medical issue” and the remaining dates on the farewell European tour would not go ahead.

The latest update shared that Anderson had suffered “a cardiac arrest” and thanked fans for their messages for his recovery.

“Your thoughts, prayers and well wishes mean more to Angry and his family than we can express,” the statement on their social pages read.

“We would like to let everyone know that Angry suffered a cardiac arrest and is currently in hospital receiving treatment and the care he needs.

“At this time, we kindly ask that you please respect the privacy of Angry and his family as they focus on Angry, his treatment and his recovery.

“We appreciate everyone’s understanding and ask that you continue to keep Angry and his family in your thoughts and prayers during the days ahead.”

It appears unlikely the Rose Tattoo run of farewell shows in Australia, due to kick-off in September, will go ahead.

The band announced recently these shows would be “Our Last Ride” before retiring from the stage after 50 years of hard rocking.

Since its formation in Sydney in the mid 1970s, the Tatts have proved to be a resilient outfit, replenishing its line-up across the decades to continue performing live.

They also proved to be an influential music export with Guns N’ Roses among the hard rock heroes who have cited them as inspirations for their sound.

The Tatts’ classic hits including Bad Boy For Love, Rock’n’Roll Outlaw and We Can’t Be Beaten are rusted on to the Australian soundtrack.

Anderson’s unlikely power ballad hit Suddenly has been back in the Zeitgeist thanks to the recent Kylie documentary series on Netflix as it soundtracked the iconic Scott and Charlene wedding.

Aussie rock legends Rose Tattoo have confirmed their frontman Angry Anderson is being treated after suffering a heart…

[32
304660,304695,81893,304673,304644,304675,304652,297503,304427,304679,304634,304647,304643,31052,304671,4815,304656,304659,2840,304637,214807,5189,49,48,17539,361,304663,122350,75,3456,4445,304674,164201,304685,304645,88008,3653,304456,304633,304677,10906,304662,304667,304650,304653,304651,304688,10976,23123,1316,304681,304684,304666,23418,304640,304692,304687,304648,4557,304649,1856,304678,304664,123607,304655,304665,304694,304683,304657,304691,304654,304636,304635,304638,304669,304670,304646,304680,302297,284832,304689,304668,304641,304672,304693,304639,304642,304690,304686,304658,304661,267,4791,304676,304682
post-878204","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-celebrities","tag-roses","tag-s-understanding","tag-50-years","tag-79-year-old-anderson","tag-a-medical-issue","tag-a-cardiac-arrest","tag-a-heart-attack-while","tag-a-photo","tag-a-post","tag-a-resilient-outfit","tag-ahead-the-band","tag-ahead-the-latest-update","tag-an-influential-music-export","tag-anderson","tag-angry","tag-august","tag-august-10","tag-aussie-rock-legends-rose-tattoo","tag-australia","tag-bad-boy","tag-beaten","tag-belgium","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-cardiac-arrest","tag-celebrities","tag-classic-hits","tag-cologne","tag-entertainment","tag-europe","tag-fans","tag-farewell-shows","tag-farewell-tour","tag-following-day","tag-guns-n","tag-hard","tag-heart-attack","tag-his-family","tag-his-recovery","tag-his-treatment","tag-hospital","tag-hospital-previously","tag-inspirations","tag-its-formation","tag-its-line-up","tag-kick-off","tag-live-they","tag-love","tag-monday","tag-netflix","tag-our-last-ride","tag-power-ballad-hit","tag-prayers","tag-respect","tag-rock-legend","tag-rocknroll-outlaw","tag-rose-tattoo","tag-rose-tattoo-frontman-angry-anderson","tag-september","tag-social-media-channels","tag-sydney","tag-the-alcatraz-metal-festival","tag-the-australian-soundtrack-anderson","tag-the-band","tag-the-cancellation","tag-the-care","tag-the-days","tag-the-decades","tag-the-farewell-european-tour","tag-the-hard-rock-heroes","tag-the-iconic-scott-and-charlene-wedding","tag-the-mid-1970s","tag-the-next-day","tag-the-privacy","tag-the-reason-frontman-angry-anderson","tag-the-recent-kylie-documentary-series","tag-the-remaining-dates","tag-the-rose-tattoo-run","tag-the-stage","tag-the-statement","tag-the-tatts","tag-the-zeitgeist-thanks","tag-their-final-european-tour","tag-their-frontman-angry-anderson","tag-their-hardman-singer","tag-their-messages","tag-their-next-scheduled-appearance","tag-their-social-pages","tag-their-sound-the-tatts","tag-these-shows","tag-this-time","tag-tour","tag-treatment","tag-your-thoughts","tag-your-thoughts-and-prayers
["GET
